Effective date: July 30, 2026
TubeMarks is a Chrome extension that lets users bookmark, organize, and revisit exact moments in YouTube videos and Shorts.
When a user creates a bookmark, TubeMarks may store:
This information is used only to provide TubeMarks’ timestamp-bookmarking, organization, search, import, export, and replay features.
TubeMarks stores bookmarks and preferences locally on the user’s device using Chrome’s local extension storage. TubeMarks does not operate a backend and does not transmit this information to the developer or to external servers.
Users may choose to export their bookmarks to a local file or import a file they select. These actions are initiated and controlled by the user.
TubeMarks does not sell, rent, share, or disclose user data to third parties.
TubeMarks does not use analytics, advertising, tracking technologies, or user accounts.
TubeMarks accesses supported YouTube pages only to read the current playback time and basic video metadata, display its save interface, and seek to a saved timestamp. Chrome storage is used to keep bookmarks and preferences on the device. Tab and scripting access supports saving from, communicating with, and reopening supported YouTube tabs.
Users can edit or delete individual bookmarks, delete all stored TubeMarks data from the options page, or uninstall the extension to remove its locally stored data. Users can also export a backup before deletion.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the extension’s store listing or associated policy page.
